Bring your family along on a sustainable adventure for 2 wonderful days to Lugnasberget Ecohotel! This is a package for the active and nature-loving family, where you get both time to spend with each other and to discover a new place together.
Lugnasberget lies in one of Sweden’s seven Biosphere Reserves, Vänerskärgården med Kinnekulle (Lake Vänern archipelago with Kinnekulle mountain). A Biosphere Reserve is a model area for sustainable development. We love this, and so we have created several sustainable activities to inspire families towards environmentally friendly daily living.
You can hike the Stonecutter Trail, enjoy a wood-fired sauna, cycle in the woods, search for beavers, fish in Lake Vristulven, sledge when there is snow, BBQ over an open fire, live in a wind shelter and also paddle a canoe in summer. Indoors there are games to play together or books to read aloud to each other.
A visit to The Mill Stone Mine Museum(Qvarnstensgruvan) is a nice experience. Here young people from the area is telling you the history of the Industry of making Mill stones. You will be inside the mountain looking for traces(fossil tracks) of the first life on earth, when you look at the ceiling, showing a beach underneath.
At Lugnasberget Ecohotel you will be comfortable in your own room with en suite shower and WC, cooking your own meals in the guest kitchens and enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. After a day of hiking you can enjoy the wood-fired sauna or take a cycle run to Lake Vristulven for a cooling dip.
