On lovely Lugnåsberget you will experience nature at your own pace. Enjoy the fragrances and floras along the roadsides. Be challenged by the slopes or rest in the tranquility. Minimal traffic, winding tracks, beautiful views, exciting milieus and short distances.
At Lugnasberget Eco Hotel you will be comfortable in your own room with en suite shower and WC, cooking your own meals in the communal kitchens and enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. After a day on the bike you can enjoy the wood-fired sauna or take a cycle run to Lake Vristulven for a cooling dip.
During a 2 day trip you will discover little Lugnåsberget by bicycle. Cycle down to Lake Vristulven and into the forest to Tjuvugnen, the old robber’s nest. Cycle on the top of the mountain and see Lake Vänern, Mount Kinnekulle and Billingen. Or look down into the large wolf-pit in the centre of the woods. The distances are short and there are many opportunities to stop along the way.
You can cycle in to Mariestad in 1 hour. In Mariestad we recommend that you visit The University Park and Island Residence with Museum. If you desire lunch perhaps one of the booths in the popular guest harbour will suit.
If you want to cycle even further the Biosphere Trail goes between Kinnekulle and Mariestad a few km from the hostel. It is 50 km to the Göta Canal via Lake Östen. A trip along Vallevägen is around 60 km long.
